So there have been a lot of changes here at Silverly Jewelry, and I couldn’t be happier! In the beginning of May my husband Sean and I bought our first house together here in Gardnerville, Nevada and we are loving life here. Both of us love the outdoors, and we chose this area because of all the great things to do that are close by. Hiking, mountain biking, dirt biking, off-roading, water sports, snow sports in the winter, it’s a paradise for adventurers. And we’ve been taking full advantage of it since we have moved…
Now we are pretty settled in, it’s time to work on getting some more inventory in my shop! The studio is up and ready to go after tearing out the carpet and replacing it with a beautiful laminate floor. It was my husband’s first time putting this flooring down and he did an amazing job, it looks so good!
The best thing about being over here is how much more connected I feel to nature and the outdoors, which is so important to my work. I awaken in the mornings to California Quail calling and the smell of sagebrush, and at night I can watch the moon arc it’s way across the night sky towards the Sierra Nevada. And the view!
So life is good these days and I can’t wait to get back in the studio and start making some new pieces that reflect the beauty of the area around me. Stay tuned!
